Leah Taylor is an Staff Research Associate and education specialist for the CAMBP. During her college years, she worked at the County Department of Agriculture, Weights, and Measures in the Entomology lab identifying and tracking invasive insect species. She also participated in the creation of new San Diego beekeeping ordinances and is very active in the beekeeping community. After graduating college with a degree in Horticultural Science, she now primarily does research on pollinators and honey bees, as well as teaches the community how to use gardening for health and wellness. As of 2018, she has added the role of San Diego Manager for the California Master Beekeeper Program. She is a passionate gardener, mother, and enjoys spending as much time talking about insects as possible.
